The operation is performed under anesthesia and lasts 1.5–3 hours. The incisions are discreetly hidden behind the ears and under the chin. The platysma (cervical muscle) is tightened and excess skin is removed.

Recovery lasts between 7–10 days. The final result occurs within 4 weeks. The scars are almost invisible.
If there is body hair in the area of surgical intervention, it should be shaved immediately before surgery.
