Results BEFORE and AFTER

What types of gynecomastia are there?

IMPORTANT!

It is important that you are at least 18 years old, have a stable weight, good general health, personal motivation for the operation and realistic expectations for the result.

Before surgery to remove gynecomastia, the plastic surgeon will talk to you about all your questions and expectations.

Informed consent is a mandatory document that contains a detailed description of the procedure, possible risks and complications, anesthesia and financial conditions. It is signed after careful familiarization and the opportunity to ask questions to the plastic surgeon or anesthesiologist.

What is gynecomastia surgery?

An assessment of the physique, elasticity of the skin and the wishes of the patient is carried out. The shape, volume and position of the areoles are discussed.

The technique chosen by the surgeon depends on:
– the size and shape of the breasts;
– the degree of breast size;
– skin quality;

There are cases in which it is necessary to combine liposuction with removal of the gland. In patients whose breasts are of considerable size, in addition to the removal of the gland, skin removal is also required.

Technique and methods of surgery for gynecomastia

Depending on the excess of tissues, the incision that is made is also made:
- around the areola and vertically to the fold, and in the fold itself under the breast;
- around the areola and vertically to the fold under the breast;
- only around the areola.
Excess fat and glandular tissue and skin are removed, the size of the areola is reduced, the gland is fixed in a higher position and the bust is formed.

Anesthesia and Downtime

The operation is performed under general anesthesia. Its duration is from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. The stay in the hospital is a minimum of 24 hours.
Drains are installed for 24 to 48 hours.
Our specialists will close the incisions with sutures that are absorbed (the body dissolves them) and will not need to be removed.

Gynecomastia – a problem that is rarely talked about

Gynecomastia is not just an aesthetic issue. For many men, it is a reason to avoid certain clothes, sports, the beach or even social situations. Often, the condition begins in adolescence and remains for years, without a real solution.

Why does training often not help? One of the most common misconceptions is that gynecomastia can be eliminated with fitness. In fact, when there is glandular tissue, it is not affected by diet or exercise. This means that even with a low percentage of fat, the area can remain changed.

A small detail that makes a big difference.

Gynecomastia is measured not only in size, but in how it changes the contour of the breasts.

Even minimal glandular tissue can create a “swollen” shape that is visible under a T-shirt.
