It is important that you are at least 18 years old, have a stable weight, good general health, personal motivation for the operation and realistic expectations for the result.

Informed consent is a mandatory document that contains a detailed description of the procedure, possible risks and complications, anesthesia and financial conditions. It is signed after careful familiarization and the opportunity to ask questions to the plastic surgeon or anesthesiologist.

During the examination, the shape, symmetry and the desired result are determined. The patient gets a clear idea of the effect of the operation.

The operation is usually performed with local anesthesia and lasts about 1 hour. An incision is made behind the ear, with no visible scars in the front.

The patient wears a bandage around the ears for 5–7 days. After taking it off, it wears an elastic band for 20 days. Return to daily activities – after 2-3 days.
Recovery after ear correction (auriculoplasty or otoplasty) usually proceeds quickly and without complications, subject to postoperative recommendations. The procedure has minimal trauma and allows for a quick return to daily activities.

Recovery usually takes about 7–10 days. During this period, it is recommended to wear a bandage and avoid pressure on the ears.
